[Spridgets] Will a 40 DCOE work on a stock 1275?

I bought my OER 45 (Japanese version of a DCOE 45) from Pierce in Gilroy.  I
gave them the info on my engine and they set it up to match. . so they
said.
It has run very well, smooth and dependable over the past 7 years.
