Ryan,
APT has a filter that centers on the SU's and doesn't rely on the welded
mount. They are SS and use the 1.5 K&N element. I have used them on both a
70 Midget and my Bugeye and they don't hit the bonnet.

Does anybody else have these?B I have just lost my second filter in a
year.B
The spot welds on the spacer that attaches to the carbs breaks off and sends
the cover and the filter into the space between the inner fender and my stee
ring column.B I think this might be due to very tight clearances between
the
bonnet and the top of the filter but it has happened on the front this time
and the rear last time.
Anybody else have this experience?
