On the Rivergate kit the slave rod is coarse thread and it's
easy for the locking/adjustment nuts to come loose.

I fought this for a while until I put some locktite on them.

Hello Spridgets,

Lately, (well the last couple of times I've driven the car) I've
noticed that I have to push the clutch pedal half way down before I
feel any resistance. I've especially noticed since, the first time
after I start the car and put it in gear, it doesn't want to come
out of gear. After I pump the clutch pedal a couple of times it
frees up and everything is well for the rest of a drive.

Does this mean I need to bleed the clutch, or is something else
  going on?

  Oh yeah, Datsun 5 speed.
