The brushes are ok.  My experience with the replacement blades for my Felco
secuteurs (tap out the tin steel retaining pins from the aluminium handle
that they have been in for maybe 30 years) wasn't great.  So, once I have
the new Dremel, only then  will I open up the old one to see if I can
replace the bearings or whatever.  I didn't want to see if I could fix it,
fail and then send a pile of damaged Dremel parts back to Dremel for them
to say 'forget it, we could have repaired it but...'

On a positive note, the test message works and I've successfully replaced
the motor twice in my Dyson vacuum.
