=80=9D wide lap belt, antisubmarine strap or straps, and 2=E2=80=9D wide min=
imum shoulder harness straps. Shoulder harness straps may not be attached to=
the same point in a =E2=80=9CY=E2=80=9D configuration. All straps must be i=
n excellent condition and securely attached to the frame, roll bar, or cage,=
or reinforced portion of the vehicle structure with a minimum grade 5 bolt a=
nd installed to manufactures instruction and SFI installation guide. Belts m=
ust be replaced within 5 years from the date of manufacture or earlier at th=
e discretion of tech. =20

> a. Safety Restraint SCCA 2022 GCR - . All driver restraint systems s=
hall meet one of the following: SFI specification 16.1, 16.5, or FIA specifi=
cation 8853/98, 8853-2016 or 8854/98. 1. Restraint systems meeting SFI 16.1 o=
r 16.5 shall bear a dated SFI Spec label. The certification indicated by thi=
s label shall expire on December 31st of the 5th year after the date of manu=
facture as indicated by the label. If for example the manufacture date is 20=
14 the fifth year after the date of manufacture is 2019. SFI labels, with ex=
piration dates, expire on December 31st of the labeled expiration date. 2. R=
estraint systems homologated to FIA specification 8853/98 and 8854/98 will h=
ave a label containing the type of harness designation (=E2=80=98C-###.T/98 o=
r D-###.T/98) and date of expiration which is the last day of the year marke=
d. All straps in this FIA restraint system will have these labels. 3. If a r=
estraint system has more than one type of certification label, the label wit=
h the latest expiration may be used
