I just posted this to the British car list, and thought
my Tiger friends might also be interested...
I just got one of those mail order gift catalogs in the
mail. This one's called Wireless (800-669-9999) and
they have a Dennis Simon silk neck tie for 1/2 price;
I just got off the phone ordering one. You might have
seen this one in magazines elsewhere: it's covered
with vintage racing posters (shrunk down, of course).
On it I can see an Allard J2/J2X (John, are you out
there?) a Jag XK120 FHC an Aston DB3S (?) and
some unimportant German and Italian stuff. Hey, a
lot of us have to wear ties to work, might as well have
something interesting on them (aren't you tired of
seeing Taz everywhere?). I usually cannot justify
thirty bucks or more for a tie, even one of Mr. Simon's,
so $14.99 plus $3.75 shipping seems like a deal.
BTW, usual disclaimers; I have no connection with
this except that Mr. Simon and I both live in the
state of MuD, if a recent article in C&S is to believed.
