>From a phsical point of view, cavitation in a pump is real simple. It 
occurs when the suction pressure of the pump falls low enough that the 
boiling point of the liquid being pumped falls below it's actual  
temperature. Glycol has a higher boiling point than water, so you could 
run the pump faster and not get cavitation.
