small questions

a) I asked before, but:
How does one attach the gas cap to the replacement cover? 1/8" pop rivets are 
too large in diameter. 
How about self tapping screws? Anybody else install one of these?

b) I'm having really serious probs locating original screws to retain the 
dashboard. I'm not even 
certain of the # and types, I am certain they're not all the same. I'll buy, 
accept donations, or 
even suggestions on where to look (old, new, whetever...)
