Jim

Thanks for your input regarding the Lincon rear end. I'm still leaning
toward the use of the versailes 9" inspite of the increase in unsprung
weight. I
road raced a tiger 20 years back and to spite cross drilling the rotors,
and ducting cool air to the front brakes, there still was some brake fade
after repeated hard uses. The tires I will be useing are 24X11.5X15 F and
25X12.5X15 R
an full inch wider, at both ends, than the tires I ran back then.
The disks for the Versailles come in 10 and 11 inch sizes, and are vented,
so with the additional cross drilling they should fill the bill.
Running at different tracks also will require the use of different final
drive ratios 3.36, 3.54, 3.73, at least, so the ease in changeing 3rd
members is attractive, as well as the lower exspence
This car is far from done. It's much closer to being
started. With materials for the tube frame do in any day, I'm about to
smoke my drafting board trying to finish the design. So much to double and
triple check, it's really a butt-kicker, as I'm sure you know. Do you know
if the fellows running Tigers in the Indiana, and Ohio areas (Barry
schonberger, and Tom Patton, I think???) are useing the Tiger rear ends?
And, one more question, If I may.How is the clearence on your wheel/ rotor
set up? Again, thanks for your
responce. Hay, keep me posted on
your 1/4 miler, if you can, my son is very enterested in the same racing
discipline as you. - May have to build two frames- Ha!

Take care
