Steve,

I'm still using an old Accel dual-point distributor with GM type mechanical 
points.  I use one set of points for the MSD and the other set for the 
tachometer (an eight grand, 8-cylinder Smiths tach from XKs Unlimited).  I 
had to add an inductor to the tach circuit to emulate a coil, but it works 
well.  I haven't tried real hard, but so far I haven't found suitable 
electronic points for this Accel distributor.  Maybe I'll chuck it one of 
these days in favor of a newer unit, but for now it's working so well I 
don't want to screw with it.
