Ray,
The piston question on the 351 heads had to do compression ratio. The
valve clearance caution was for using 351 heads on a 260 cid (which was
advocated), in which case you may find the valves won't clear the block
due to larger valves/spacing and smaller bore.
With all the replies on "fixes" for compression ratio due to head volume
differences, and push-rod lengths OK, as long as you modify something
else, all speak to the same cautions I provided.
Will get back to you on water passage, as I am not exactly sure why my
source drilled the 352 heads for water passage.
