In answer to Andy Walkers concern that this TAC/Tiger Tech cyber war makes
the California Tiger brood come off as some huge, fractious, club(or two clubs)
that can't get along. let me assure him that, in person at least, this is not
the
case.
Yes, there is an element of politics. As T. Hall said, there are some very
strongly
opinionated folks in the clubs, and the TAC program is not universally accepted.
You know, the philosophy behind the TAC program is pretty harmless. You don't
have to have your car inspected (and thus certified or not certified) if you
don't
want to.
All the TAC sticker certifies is that this car did originally travel down the
Jensen assembly line eventually to become a new Tiger. It does not certify
correctness of the options, the motor, the interior. It does not authenticate
one-off or prototype history. You can get that info separately through various
ways.
Should you care to travel to Tiger Mecca aka California, you'll find the brood
to
be as non-threatening as those in OK or MA. They use knives and forks, most of
them drink beer from a bottle or glass and not directly from a pitcher(most of
them). Don't let their Net image scare you off. Honestly, even David Duncanson
is
far more genial in person that his Net persona would indicate.
By the way, the Internet Fire Department announced that while the blaze from
Davids recent posting is not yet out, it is contained and should be out in two
days
if the wind doesn't pick up again.
