Hi!

Being as new as one possible can on the mailing lists and being fairly new
"to" my Tiger (B9471941; plate: EDU 291C) I assume that the issue I'm
interested in will probably be well known to all of you:

My Tiger has been restored some years ago. After restoration, the badge on
the boot has been fixed again (I would think that it's the original one),
while the badges on the fenders have - for reasons which are unknown to me -
not been fixed. While thinking about getting new badges I found out that
different badges have been in use and that they have been used in different
places, in particular the latter seems to hold true with regard to the
badges used on the fenders:

E.g.: My car has an "Alpine/260" badge on the boot. I've seen the same on
various pictures of other cars. However with regard to the badges on the
fenders things seem to be different: I've seen badges with "?/V 8" (?
meaning, that I could not discern what was written above the "V 8"; was it
"Alpine", "POWERED BY FORD" or even "SUNBEAM"?), badges with "Alpine/260"
(e.g. on car EDU 294C, which car might have left the production line at
about the same time as mine) and badges with "POWERED BY FORD/260".

Has there been a "system" in the types of badges and their positioning?

This much to my question.

As this is the first time that I enter this "discussion panel" some
information about myself: I am Swiss. I'm 38 and I'm living in Zurich. I
bought my Tiger last summer and I'm still as much fascinated by it as I am
by the possibilites of the internet/e-mail which I have only recently found
access to.

Thank you very much in advance.

Roland
