#86 BRG and Color Matches

     Forget trying to find color samples over the internet, except for 
     having somebody snail mail you a sample.  No two monitors will produce 
     the same colors from the same data.  And even if they did, it probably 
     would only be close to the color that was intended.  If you hoped to 
     then print out the  color sample and take it to a paint shop to copy, 
     then that'll be even worse.
     
     Even our big buck medical quality video monitors, which can cost as 
     much as a decent Pentium machine, will have subtle differences between 
     them.
     
     I found a good sample of my #86 paint under the tail light assembly.  
     From what I've seen there were several tones of green that all were 
     called #86.  Some look nice, some look like dung.  When I painted, I 
     just picked a nice forest green out of the Imron book.
