I would encourage anyone interested in engines to get a copy of Mustang and
Fords, November 1998. There is an 8 page article on the history of small
block 221 cu -302 cu. It explains in very simple terms what parts were
changed for each modification including 289HO's, Shelbys, etc.. Definitely
very good reading.
I'm hoping that I might get a lead on radiators. A friend has a relative who
works in a shop in Maine that supposedly manufactures radiators for Modine (I
thought they built all there own). Anyway, at Christmas time she will try to
find out if they do man. for Modine and if they'd be interested in selling
retail or in little larger quantities such as to CAT. Maybe it's a wild goose
chase, but it doesn't cost anything to ask. Anyway, when I see Mustang 3
cores for $139 and 4 cores for $189.00 I begin to get the feeling that we're
somehow getting screwed on ours. So, just checking one more possibility.
Will have a basic answer shortly after Christmas. Marik L.
