Yes, I had thought of the direction thing and was going to check up on that.
Steve L suggested I get a pump from Rick at SS, which is, of course, the answer
that makes the most sense (which is why I didn't think of it), until I pulled
the fan belt yesterday and discovered it was actually the generator making the
horrible noises. So much for my hearing acuity. Guess I'll call Rick up about
generators, instead. Was it Rick or CAT that had mkII alternator brackets? Does
Ford or anyone make a decent lightweight internal-regulator alternator?
