I live in Florida, and have been to Epcot were at least one version of
that GM ride is. It took three hours once in line to get through the ride
(broke down three times while I was in the car!). The thing hardly ran
long enough to build up enough speed to hurt anyone, although Disney
employees talk of an "incident" where a car left the track and wound up in
the parking lot while the ride was being tested.

I imagine it will be an enjoyable ride once the bugs are worked out.
