Chris,

In one sense of the word Lucas electrics are "common", however there are two 
other
adjectives that can be applied, "rare", and "unreliable".  You can get the 
sealed
beams, but you better keep them in the box for concour use.  Certainly not for
actual ability to see well, or for very long, at night.

For that application I recommend Hella headlights with the new PIAA, or H-4
halogen bulbs.  These are very bright, white, reliable light and will not be an
undue load on even the generator Tigers, as they are efficient as well. The
Hella's are available with flat lenses (like the old Lucas tripod lights before
the curved sealed beams).  Reproductions of the curved glass tripod lights are
available, at about $125 new.

My original equipment Lucas sealed beams are stored for show use only.
