Derek, It sounds to me like you have come on to a great find. It may never
be a high priced museum piece, but it sure sounds like it is worth
resurecting. The early 289 should be a direct bolt in replacement, or a
later 289 or 302 should go in pretty easily with the matching bell housing
for the transmission. Bonnets are avalible if you look, & that Alpine
interior should go in the Tiger without much problem. Here in the US engines
& transmissions are avalible at most scrapyards. I understand that Mustang 4
bolt wheels, from about 1979 to 1985 or so will bolt right on, though I have
not tried it. My own car was resurected from a rusted out Michigan junkyard
refugee, so a non rusty Tiger shell sounds too good to pass up. I bet the
guy who said it sounds like a parts car is in California, where they do not
understand how life is in the rest of the world.
