Just so you know, there are several thread repair "systems" similiar in
principle to the Heli-coil.  Many of these use solid inserts rather than
the coil shaped inserts and install using standard oversize thread sizes.
These eliminate a lot the cost of the special tap and tooling that the
Heli-coil requires.  The heli-coil is a more obvious choice in situations
where the overall diameter must be kept to a minimum because of physical
shape constraints.
