There is a Lucas rebuild kit w/new brushes available. I replaced mine years ago.
Can't recall the parts number. I'll bet it's still available, because the wiper
motor in Tiger is found in other Brit cars(Rover, etc.)
If you are disassembling, you ought to replace them.
A wiper-related tech tip----slot the holes that the screws pass thru to fasten
the glove box so it can be easily removed for access to that motor & linkage if
needs be.
