Ok, so I usually do a "Reply All" when joining a thread. I guess it's just
a reflex and it's so easy. From now in I'll try and just send replies to
the List so people don't get two or three copies of my mail. But, of
course, you know this is the wrong list if you don't want to offend. And
the way And, despite your denial, you'll have a hard time convincing the
Viper crowd that you weren't taking pot shots with statements like the
following:
"I'd much prefer the Ferrari V-12, or at least a Viper V-10. {9->"
And:
"Those Lucas Vindsheild Viper motors aren't really that bad."
"At least a Viper"??? My, my, how condescending. Admittedly, this comment
is left somewhat ambiguous with the addition of the undefined {9-> dangling
modifier. On the other hand, if you really do prefer the Ferrari V-12, then
how do you square this with your motto: "Find out what is most important in
your life and don't let it get away!" Sell the Tiger, forget about the
Viper, and buy a Ferrari V-12!! Personally, I've driven one and prefer my
Tiger; way to heavy a feel to the car. I guess it's OK after you pass 100
mph, but It'd take a lot of getting used to.
And then there's "Those Lucas Vindsheild [sic] Viper motors". Clearly, what
we have here is a very politically incorrect swipe at members with a
Teutonic background, so I guess we can add them to the list of the offended.
If I were you I'd fire up my virus scanner, update my definitions, and
prepare for an onslaught of Happy 99 and other assorted nasties.
