Frank,

I last talked to Dan about two years ago, and he had retired from actively
doing transmission work, but was still selling parts and kits. He had many
recommended rebuilders, however.

A word of caution. When you make that long distance call, have plenty of
those AT&T 7 cent nickels. Ask a question, and sit back for a looong answer.

I would stay away from his ‘3 piece’ first motion shafts. They just add
weakness where you need strength. It was a cheaper way to manufacture. The
original 1 piece is still available. His ‘complete kit’ seems to be missing
the new bottom shaft, which would be good to replace on a rebuild, and
shouldn’t cost much.
