George Ray died a few years ago. His dealership had moved locations, & I
never visited his second shop. I recall coveting a 3'x5' Sunbeam Tiger logo
decal he had mounted on a piece of safety glass in his shop. He was a
cranky old dude who thought any deviation from stock was a heresy, because
he thought they were perfect cars as delivered. So he hated my Tiger,
w/louvers, 4bbl carb, headers & non-original paint. The LAT options were
unknown to him. I bought some stuff from him back in the late 70's when my
Tiger was my daily driver. I recall buying a new windshield washer control
& being amazed that he had one in stock at that time. He did have a residue
of parts long after extinction. No idea what happened to him, but I will
forward this note to a Newport friend who had a Tiger way back when.
