Tim,

If you have the correct clips, the clips first go into the three holes, put 
the plastic badge into the motif surround and gently press the chrome into 
the three clips.  These clips cannot be put on from the inside and if they 
are correct they are metal and look like a V with two small tabs on the outer 
edges of the top of the V.
