Dear Windsor, I had several McLeod clutches on various vehicles. While the
McLeod package really hooked up I ran into problems of excessive wear on the
bearing arm. On my '69 Z28 I actually had the pivot ball push through the
metal requiring the removal of the transmission and replacement of the arm.
Since switching to the Centerforce clutch I have not had a problem in any of
the vehicle. It still hooks up as well, but pedal pressure is less and no
mechanical failures. Since I have a severely defective left knee the
Centerforce has been a most welcome addition to all three cars.

In the final analysis, both clutches are great products....the Centerforce
does better meeting my own needs. (The McLeod clutch I used was the
street/strip version and was sprung heavier)
