Dr. Mayf,
As far as drag Coefficient I found a program called Cartest that has the
Tiger as well as over 3 hundred other cars in it's Data base. I forget where
I downloaded it but I had tons of fun "virtually" spanking my Buddies
crossfire injected Corvette. The cool thing is that this program allows you
to "customize your car by lowering the ground clearance and it recalculates
the frontal surface area and the Drag.
Might be worth looking at if you want to see it. I will send the file out to
those interested but reserve the right to stop as the last time I tried to
email a file I had to set up and intranet site to facilitate downloading. It
took FOREVER AND EVER to send it to those who asked.

Steve L.,......could you be the repository? Do you have the ability to allow
downloads of attachments from your site?

It has sound and calculates the best "launch" by comparing dump of the
clutch to slipping the clutch and different RPM launch's.
I did it with my Tiger and the new engine specs (426 HP@5700RPM and 395 lb.
Ft.@4500RPM ) and it indicated a drag of .45 and it managed an E.T. of 11.70
with a trap speed of 120 on stock tires with stock trim and exhaust. It did
however spin all of first gear and most of second gear.
Top Speed ......162 MPH ....Like I will ever even attempt that on stock
tires?!?!? I tried to optimize the launch and it said to launch at 1100 RPM
and dump the clutch and it would do 0-100 MPH in 7.9 seconds on the stock
skins.

It is a gear heads dream and is quite detailed. Again the best part is to
compare it to a stock 289 car at an E.T. of 15.50 and a trap speed of 87.8
MPH with a top speed of 120 MPH.

At stock 260 car is expected to hit 16.20 at 84.7 MPH in the traps. With a
top speed of 116 MPH.

All in all a great way to kill an evening.
Best regards all,
Tim Ronak
