Been a while since I have been on the list. I just received a timing cover
from Derek white in South Africa that I plan to use on my stroker motor
(Derek have your bearings arrived yet?) It needed some minor welding and I
took it to a local guy named Bob McKray to weld and he started assuming it
was aluminum but was unable to get the welding to stick so he stopped and
checked and in fact the cover is manufactured from "MAGNESIUM" has anyone
else discovered this?
