Only two years? I bought my Tiger in 1993, I drove it a total of about 10
miles before the restoration started. The drive was a joke, gas can on the
parcel shelf bypassing clogged fuel line, more smoke out of the tail pipes
than can be imagined, no registration, it was more of a dare than anything.
I hardly count it as a drive since it couldn't in anyway qualify as a
legitimate Tiger experience. Since then it has been under continuous
restoration since 1994. There is a good chance next year will be "The
Year". Do I come close to the record holder for longest ongoing
restoration? In order to qualify let's assume work toward the goal of
restoration must have been performed in each year consecutively.
