Gentlemen,
Would you call a fiberglass kit car a Shelby Cobra? Would you call a
forged Mustang a Shelby GT350? Would you even call an older Ford with
Mercury body parts stuck on a Mercury classic?
I doubt it.
Please do not mistake the Rootes Sunbeam Alpine 4 cylinder car with the
custom Carroll Shelby designed Sunbeam Tiger simply because someone has
tried, unsuccessfully, to forge one.
Something is valuable because it is rare and desired. Many forgers try
to make a buck with a forged art masterpiece. But a forgery is NOT the original.
