I understand what you are saying about Netscape 4.x  through 6.x. They 
were very slow. Netscape 7 is much faster and a lot better than the 
earlier versions. For what it is worth I have read reviews that it is 
equal to or better than IE, Mozilla and others. It seems to take 
advantage of the good stuff in Mozilla and I think a lot easier to use 
than IE. Just my opinion. :-)  I would not consider using any other mail 
system. I use POW, which is free, to eliminate all pop up windows.
