All must be familiar, by now, with the Tiger Forum, accessible through
the hot-link on the top black bar of the
http:www.TigersUnited.com web site.
We are getting a lot of activity on offerings of cars and parts that are
wanted, or for sale. These are free posts and
deletable by poster after deal is done.
The Events Calendars, both Local and Major, are not used as often. Many
like to announce such events on the
Tiger List, which is good and proper. Later on, when someone is really
trying to find what is going on where, or
what happened to that e-mail with the announcement, he is often lost.
I strongly encourage sponsors, or announcers of events to use their
e-mail to the list as a quick and easy way to
post your event on the Forum.
A "copy/paste" of your announcement can bet put into the window of a
Forum posting to the proper "Folder'.
Sometimes these pastes add extra spaces where the e-mail sticks them. I
just find spaces in the paste in and
delete them if they are not paragraph dividers. Work from the bottom up,
and remember to put the DATE in the
Title for quick reference (see examples).
This way you are assured that seekers can find your announcement. They
can always be edited by you if anything changes. Include and web site
addresses and e-mails relevant to the event.
