Listers,
I have used Paul Parretti's Alternator lower bracket it is of 1 piece design
and requires the additional use of the "pep Boys" version of the old single
arc upper bracket usually found on 60's vintage GM vehicles. It is very
stout and bolts to the three bolts on the front of the head. He has a dual
plate version as well but the single version one which is a little thicker
worked for me. I can contact him to see if he is selling them or what. It
seems that all alternators have a standard back spacing and use a 1 inch
spacer to shim the alternator out for belt alignment.
I could try to take photos but it is VERY tight.
