While not from the most "in-the-know" source, I received the following from
a person who went to inspect the "yellow chunk":

>Just got back....was a very long day. I'm am not an expert on Tigers (I'm
>really into Shelbys) but here are my observations in no particular order:
>
>Tag B3820000934 LRXFE This tag is riveted, but the rivets look like
>cheap pop rivets
> 4773 F21KA
> 92
>
>JAL tag: 660939(this tag was held on by screws)
>
>The car has 2 gas tanks. The inner door panels were completely flat. No
>colored piping on the seats
>
>Under the Yellow paint (down the vents below the windshield, indicates this
>car was blue (under that was primer).
>Behind/next to an alternator I did not see the bend in the inner fender
>panel I thought should be there(I'm not an expert here remember).
>The "top hats" above the struts appeared spot welded, not stick welded as I
>thought they were(again, I am not an expert)
>The fuel pump is in the trunk. not in the panel behind the passenger seat -
>nothing there but the muffler.
>
>No indication of a flat mounted spare flange - only the cutout for the
>vertical spare(owner said this was rare for a tiger to have a vertical
>mounted spare)
>Many mangled bangs and a number of 1 inch size holes cut in the firewall and
>transmission tunnel.
>Brake booster was mounted flush with the firewall. I believe this looked
>different than another Tiger I had seen.
>Tail light lens both dated 1963.
>
>Could not get a good picture.....my camera did not have a flash and the
>garage was pretty dark....sorry. The owner took this in a trade about 5
>years ago for some carpentry work he did for the owner (Pizzato, I believe
>was the name on the title)
