I have installed several one piece silicone gaskets on different
engines. I have never used RTV on any of them and none of them leak. The
hardest part has always been keeping the gasket in place while securing the
pan. A little bit of contact cement maybe needed.

Sorry to bomb the list--has anyone used the one-piece oil pan gaskets?
They're made of silicone, but I was gonna slather it with some RTV
anyway--Is that overkill?
