Hi All
Im new to this list and joined because in my experience this is the best
place to get the information you want. I do not own a Sunbeam tiger but
would like to have one I have always been interested but never pursued
it and now the prices are getting up there. I recently found a sunbeam
alpine sitting in a yard here in Vermont. Its pretty rough but can be
fixed it will never be a concourse car. The four cylinder motor is
seized and my question would be, can you put a Ford 289 and 4 speed into
an Alpine without much trouble I have read of people putting 302's and
T-5 5 speeds into Tigers so I would assume that you could put one into
an alpine body. I know that you can fabricate any motor into any car( I
was involved in putting a small block Chevy into a Mercedes 300 series
car) But I really don't want to cut the car up that bad. So any
Information would be greatly appreciated
