Smiths and Jaeger are part of the same company. Many items are 
identical, except for face decoration and manufacturer's name. There are 
some models in each line that have identical looking faces, but 
differing innards.  I have been told to be wary of the few years later 
model clocks with batteries.  Parts are difficult to come by for this 
one, and they do not last long.   Anyway,  that is what MOrris, ot MOMA 
before divorce, told me.

An eBay item was listed with "positive earth".  Take it on faith that 
this was never intended for a Tiger, but it will work if the wiring 
polarity is correctly connected.  Just ain't original.
