I can say I was a very early adopter of seat belts. It was the only way I
could stay behind the wheel of my first car! ('71 Chevelle - curse those bench
seats). Luckily I have no regrets; nobody got hurt; just some paint, bondo and
some frame straightening. With the tuner-car rage now, when they reach that
period of life, hopefully my sons (& their friends) will escape unscathed.
It'll be difficult to be hypocritical when they show up with a bent fender...

Tigers,

I really don't expect to get many, if any, responses to this post, but:

Will any male sports / performance car enthusiast, even if he only
WANTED the car, speak out and declare that he never did anything life
threateningly stupid in his young years.  (or even now.)

I believe any denials will be self deceiving untruths, if not imminent
Alzheimer's disease.

The only stories to the denying such behavior are the ones we told the
cops and our folks.   :-)
