This week's AutoWeek (Jan. 31 issue) has a one-page feature (p.22) called
"Snake
Pit, Carroll Shelby and Ford's Long Connection on Display."

This article discribes a display called Shelby: The Ford Connection, a new auto
exhibit at the Saratoga Automobile Museum in Saratogo Springs. NY.

Along with the Cobras (including the Daytona Coupe prototype), Shelby Mustangs
and other Shelby notable cars, is a Tiger.

Here's what the writer says about the Tiger: "Also displayed is a Sunbeam
Tiger,
Britain's Rootes Group's answer to the Cobra, developed by Shelby with a Ford
V8
in the Sunbeam Alpine sports car. When Rootes was bought by Chrysler, the Tiger
became extinct."

Just visable in the upper left corner of the accompanying photo is the nose of
what
appears to be a red MKI or IA.

According to the article, this display runs thru March and more info is
available at
saratogaautomuseum.com.

Looks like someone believes the Tiger should be associated with Shelby's cars.
Anybody know who this car belongs to?
