I had a fairly stout Tiger at one point.
Now, among the clutter, I have a Miata. Here's what I can tell you . . .
Instant torque? Tiger.
Hp/lb? Miata.
Cool factor? Not the Miata.
Stealth factor? Miata. (I could NEVER get a race in the Tiger - as soon as
someone heard it run no one was interested!)
Tiger minus about 500 lbs = Miata.
Miata has better brakes. (Ask me about coming down Wolf Creek Pass in the
Tiger . . . )
Most wheel spin? Miata.
Last year we took the Miata out to Bonneville for the 130 club fandango.
Did the 440 powered 62 Dart make the club? Did the supercharged Mustang
make the club?
Recently, I found a "way better than ever" Elan for sale. Boy, did I have a
jones for that! A friend reminded me that for 1/3 the $ the Miata would run
rings around it.
