Cermakrome will not come off when hit with a hammer. But, it is advisable
when using ceramic coating to prefit and then have air fuel mixture adjusted to
optimum. Both over rich and lean conditions will cause exhaust temps that will
exceed 1300 degrees. At 1300 degrees the aluminum additive in Cermakrome and
all other types of similar coating will melt and cause a permanent change in
color to a dull gray.
