Remember how to polarize a regulator?. This must be done after
changing the regulator and before starting the engine. Here's how:
Fashion a jumper lead from about 6 inches of wire with both ends
stripped. Momentarily touch the jumper between the GEN (ARM)
terminal and the BAT terminals of the regulator. The spark will
correctly polarize the system.
Remember the generator is DC and the polarity can be reversed.
Then the current flow will be from negative to positive. It'll drive
your Electrics nuts.
