I've run across some info on wheel measurements that I do not understand and I
was hoping someone on these two lists might be able to decipher it for me.
First of all, I'm planning to purchase some Minator wheels for my Series I
Alpine vintage racer in the size of 13" x 5.5". I asked my supplier for
backspace measurements on both a 5" wheel and a 5.5" wheel and he got the
following response from Minator:
5" wide wheel has a backspace measurement of "ET20"
5.5" wide wheel has a backspace measurement of "ET25"
(my quotation marks)
Does anybody understand that description? I've e-mailed my supplier back with
that question and he, in turn, has e-mailed Minator but, so far, we have not
received an answer. Can anyone decipher that?
