Guys,
Just completed the installation of the Volvo fan that has been discussed in
the past. The bolt holes needed to be drilled out just a bit in order to
fit. The center hole is larger than stock but with the exact size bolt holes
had no problems with the centering of the fan. After pulling the stock ford
and comparing it to the Volvo it's a wonder the ford cools anything. Hard to
make a quick judgment at this early stage but in a test run my needle
centered on 170 (it was cool today in NH) but I never had the Tiger run at
that temp in the past. With the Ford it would have been around 185-190 in
today's weather. A definite improvement and also quieter in operation. I'm
guessing around a 15-20 degree change. I'll update when we get much warmer
weather.
