Keep this in mind too when considering a a battery cut out switch.. many
car stereos have anti-theft deturants in them like My Eclipse. Power goes
out, and comes back on, it will ask for the "key" CD I used. Other systems
may require some kind of code. Just food for thought. A cool battery cut
out would leave the radio, lights, and alarm powered but nothing else..turn
the key, radio comes on, but no starter, no coil, no pump....No drive
away...

Just my random thoughts..

Oh My old 65 Alpine was almost stolen. The deturent was LUCAS wiring...
Went out to start the car to drive to school, and notice no key lock in the
hole in the dash..There it was laying on the floor, and all of the wires
hanging down. Having just refinsihed the dash on it, I knew the wiring for
it. Popped it right back in, put the wires on and laughed my way to
school.. Prince of Darkness = Prince of Thieves
