Anti-theft battery switches

I remember a thread back a bit about those keyed battery switches. 
www.harborfreightusa.com has them on sale right now for $2.99 each.  Here is 
the item number to search for 92688.  They are normally $5.99  They use a 
removable red plastic key

Figure one of these installed on the outside of the glove box so that you 
have to put the key in through the inside of the glove box would be only a 
minor inconvenience for the driver, and when the key was removed, all that 
would remain would be a small black hole inside of a small black glove box. 
nothing obvious or visible.  if one was clever enough one could also make a 
box around the switch or perhaps place the switch on the top side of the 
glove box keeping it completely undectable from under the dash as well.

Just some rambling thoughts from a former Alpine / Impy owner.
