Flange on tapered rear axle won't come off

Hello out there in radioland,
 
Using the exact type of tool that Rick at S.S. recommended (as well as lots  
of heat and other persuasion), the darned  flange won't budge.
 
It appears to be bending but won't release even with all that  persuasion.
 
Anyone got ideas that would avoid damaging the flanges in their ultimate  
removal, or should I count on having to fork over $300 per flange for new  
ones.........?
