Am I wrong or does the engine color depend on your serial number?
The early engines were black, later MK IA like mine is Ford dark blue
while Ken Bishop's MK II is the lighter Ford blue.
 
Since you are going to so much trouble about color, I presume you
are painting the rear end the proper colors.
