Unbolt the arm from the trunk lid. Grab the arm and move it slowly to remove
the tension from the spring. I use a hose clamp around the arm on the opposite
side to keep that arm from folding up. One spring is not enough force to keep
the deck lid up. It will conk you on the head. BTDT.
