Hi all,
I finally assembled the front hubs, rotors, etc and put a wheel on it.
Turns out there is about 1/8" clearance between the inside lip of the
rim and the upper control arm - the two line up pretty much exactly, but
the control arm is going to move past the minimum-clearance point as the
suspension moves. What's the consensus on the minimum safe (lateral)
distance between the wheel and suspension parts? Removing material from
the outside edge of the control arm is an option, I suppose, but I don't
think that more than about 1/8" would be prudent.

The wheels are 16x7, 2005 Mustang, 39mm offset. I have redrilled stock
hubs with 1/4" brake hats giving me that much outboard spacing. It fits
great relative to the outside of the fenders, but I'll probably have to
roll the valence a little more.

Theo
